Built to work hard and look good doing it.

Made from solid acacia in an end-grain pattern, this board shows off rich, swirling growth rings in deep chocolate and honey tones. Every board is one of a kind.

End grain means the wood fibres face upward, so your knife slips between them instead of cutting across them. That’s gentler on your knife edges and helps the surface hide cut marks over time.

A sturdy metal handle makes it easy to lift, carry to the table, or hang on the wall when you’re done. Non-slip rubber feet underneath keep it firmly in place while you chop, and they lift the board slightly off the bench so air can flow underneath and it dries properly.

At 2.5 cm thick, it’s solid and steady without being too heavy to move around.

Caring for your board
Before first use, rub in a coat of food-safe board oil, and repeat every few weeks. Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry it standing upright. Please don’t put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking.

Every board is one of a kind

Each board is made from natural timber, so the grain, colour and the odd knot will vary from piece to piece. That's the beauty of real wood. The board you receive will be uniquely yours and may look slightly different from the photos.

Questions, answered

End grain or edge grain: what's the difference?

End-grain boards are made from blocks with the wood fibres facing up, like the top of a bundle of straws. Your knife slips between the fibres, so they're the gentlest on your blades and hide cut marks well.

Edge-grain boards show the long, flowing grain of the timber. They're lighter, slimmer and easier to move around, which makes them perfect for everyday prep and serving.

Which oil should I use?

Any food-safe board oil or food-grade mineral oil works well. Avoid cooking oils like olive or vegetable oil, as they can turn rancid over time.

Is it safe to cut raw meat on a wooden board?

Yes. Wash the board with hot soapy water straight after use and dry it standing upright. Many cooks keep one board for raw meat and another for fruit, vegetables and bread.

Can I put my board in the dishwasher?

Please don't. The heat and water in a dishwasher can warp or crack natural timber. A quick hand wash and dry is all it needs.

Will my board look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every board is cut from natural timber, so the grain and colour are unique to your piece.

Does it make a good gift?

A beautiful board is a gift that gets used every single day. If you're buying for Christmas, order early so it arrives in time.
